Rep. Tiffany draws attention to misstatements by Madison Clerk’s Office

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Minocqua) has been taking aim at the Madison Clerk’s office after 2,200 duplicate ballots were sent out. An initial statement from the Madison clerk said that ballots have duplicate barcodes so only one would be counted. Tiffany took issue with the wording, pointing out that the ballots don’t have barcodes. His post on X pointing this out has more than 2.4 million views.

There are barcodes on the envelopes the ballots are received in, but not on the ballots themselves.
